Position Description

Title:       VolleyFest Activator 

Reports To: Regional Association Volleyfest Lead,   Volleyball New Zealand Development Manager


PURPOSE OF THE ROLE 

The purpose of the role is to serve the local Volleyball community in a proactive and enthusiastic manner contributing to the implementation and delivery of VolleyFest and adhering to the Volleyball NZ values of integrity, wellbeing, accessibility and collaboration. 


ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational excellence.

  • Oversee the development, documentation and implementation of a quality VolleyFest programme and operational plans, with a commitment to continuous quality improvement. 
  • Meaningful, open and timely internal and external communication
  • Communities, Associations, zones, clubs, schools and community providers interface.
  • Manage and record data on programme outcomes for required reporting. Oversee the implementation of effective monitoring and evaluation systems
  • Ensure effective systems are in place to mitigate risks
  • Work with key stakeholders to plan, manage and coordinate VolleyFest


Growing the Game.

  • Create and implement a social media plan, increasing the profile volleyball and promoting VolleyFest. Implement and investigate tools and resources to enable growth
  • Target local participation growth areas promoting different formats of the game, cultural inclusiveness, ethnic diversity and opportunities for young females including health, nutrition and well being.
  • Grow the profile and brand of the game at local levels to increase the profile and attractiveness of volleyball.

  • Develop and maintain strong positive working relationships with local communities, churches, key stakeholders,

RSTs, Associations, schools

  • Provide quality support to the local community,
  • Lead and contribute to a culture focused on the health, safety and wellbeing, nutrition, leadership, development, whanau / focus of staff and stakeholders.

           Grow as many participants as possible locally through VolleyFest



EVENT DESCRIPTION 


Grass Volleyball activation at pre-determined locations in Auckland

Secure event staff from the local clubs

  • 4 x Qualified coaches (Must have a VNZ qualification) to ensure consistency in delivery
  • 1 x Qualified referee (Must  have at their “Local Badge”)
  • 6 x Volunteers (Pack up, pack down)


Other outcomes:

  • Ensure the day runs smoothly, a pre described delivery plan is below
  • Ensure the required data outlined by VNZ and MAVA is collected
  • Management of Events budget is encouraged
